Breadline

We enjoyed our Breadline bread so much at Citronelle that we decided to Breadline it for lunch today. It's located at 1715 Pennsylvania Ave, near the Farragut West metro. Busy place - one day I will learn to take pictures of ambience. With such pictures, you'd notice how busy it is in there and maybe even how HOT. The sandwiches were good; the bread is great.

I ordered prosciutto with gorgonzola and fig paste on walnut bread. I only ate about half of it. Good, but a little gorgonzola goes a long way, and the flavor was overwhelming by the end.

If you like spicy foods, you must order J's West African Chicken Dalliah sandwich. Check out how awesome the bread is - it's magic, crusty without forcing you to tear through it:

The sandwich was tear-inducingly spicy. It was chili pepper heat - the type that takes hold of your taste buds and will not let go. This sandwich is the first we've ever had that contained peanuts. Mmmm spicy. SO spicy.
